this little girl got this project started read about her here
The baby had suffered horrific ritual abuse in a traditional shrine, including having her undeveloped canine teeth cut out of her jaw, undoubtedly for ritual purposes.  Her head hung to one side and her neck looked rotten, signs that she had probably been tied up around the neck. Then she had nearly suffocated when stuffed alive into a bag and discarded.  She was found nearly drowning in her own feces, and seemingly near death.

Little did I know when I selected that title how many unfamiliar paths I'd be going down.  First, in Hong Kong "they" said we had no tickets and we'd have to buy them (again) only took about 2 hours and calls to the travel agent in CO to get that straightened out.  But my gift bags were only 12.5k over weight.  That was good!  Oh did I tell you?  I took over 65 #s of gifts plus my clothes and stuff but my carry on was too big for PAL so it got weighted and checked.  That caused the over weight problem.
Second, I ended up in the Philippines with out my sidekick--son John and not much cash.  That is why I wasn't able to blog everyday and send all the pictures I took of the kids.

I have some wonderful friends at Shalom that took care of me.  I spent most of everyday at the Center getting to know the staff and kids.  What wonderful people of God.  Don't ever be afraid to go visit  your sponsored kid.  The staff will help you at every turn.  There is NO problem too big for them.

Good morning all.  I'm going to try to upload a video of the youth at Shalom on the Praise and Worship team.  I tried to do it on Ourcompassion in the sponsors only forum.  This stuff is all new to me.  If is doesn't work I'll try to get some help.  thanks for looking.
