Happy Thanksgiving to all my US friends.  It is not a day of Celebration here.  Everyone is working today.  Yesterday was a holiday for a saint. today is a regular day. I have more pictures but I have to load them to the computer and I forgot the cable today.  maybe later.    Enjoy your day and BE THANKFUL.  we are so blessed in the US.

Good Morning everyone.  Sorry for the silence.  On our trip to the Philippines things did not go as we planned and we had to accept God's plan.  I am here on my own instead of with my son.  So I did not have the computer I thot I's have to post with.  Sunday night I got to shower (bucket and pan to pour with) with a frog and a few small lizards.
Just so you know all the gifts made it here are they are now packed to be taken or mailed to Manila.
After Church |Sunday I gave a big bag of gifts to Jim's Jovil.  I have lots of pictures of her and her mom and dad.  They were all smiles.  Tomorrow Wed.  I get to meet Lorraine, go to lunch and shopping.  We are both so excited.  She saw me at church Sunday but I didn't see her.  CI regs.  They called her this am  and she was giggling with delight they said.
I know everything is in God's hand and He will take care of it.

It's Tuesday night, I'm at John's.  My bags were too heavy for me to lift so I split stuff into another bag. We are set to roll at 6:00 am tomorrow.  This is just a kind of test to make sure I can still post with his computer.  I think it's gonna work.  PTL

PTS?

Is there such a thing as PTS (pre-trip syndrome)?  I went to bed last night feeling chest congestion so I slathered Vicks on my chest added a nice hot corn sack and finally fell asleep about 11.  Only to be awakened about 4:00 am by a mouse with a chainsaw enlarging the holes around the pipes under the bathroom sink.  

Eeeeeek.   I turned on the light and made some noise hoping to scare him off.  Not so, he was still there at 5.  I spent an hour cleaning under the sink and the drawers with Clorox.   If/when he comes back I’m serving peanut butter or stinky cheese on mousetraps.   

And I’m still congested.  Don’t really feel sick just not quite 100% so I’m taking Vit. C and drinking gallons of hot tea.  I so don’t want to have a cough on the airplane.  Please add me to your prayer list for a few days.  And if you have a good remedy send it on.   Thanks.

I had a hard time going to sleep last night because I was making lists of what to take so today I am packing my clothes and personal items and writing out that list.  Hope the clothes will all fit into a carry on bag 

because my big bag is full of 47 pounds of gifts for the sponsored children of my OC friends.  

What doesn't fit in can stay here.

  I can learn how to wash clothes.
Now I gotta figure out the rest of this blog stuff. so you can leave a comment if you want.

Good evening.  this is the start of a new adventure to tell you about my Compassion International journey. The name comes from Isaiah 42:16 I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them:  I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth.  Theses are the things I will do: I will not forsake them.
I'm traveling to the Philippines on Tuesday to visit friends and Lorraine the girl I sponsor at the CI project PH 918.  I'm also traveling with a bag full of gifts from my OC friends to their sponsored kids in the Philippines.
 If I can I will add pictures as I take them and give you some brief updates.
